Seaworld
Seaworld parks are best described as a cross between an aquarium and a theme park. Guests can watch animal shows, visit exhibits, talk to animal trainers, and of course ride some of the best coasters.
Orlando
Seaworld Orlando is actually a resort similar to Universal Orlando. Several hotels surround the theme park that is operated by third parties. Across the street from Seaworld is the Aquatica theme park. Guests looking to get up close and personal with animals can also visit Discovery Cove. Seaworld Orlando has one of the best children’s play areas with the immersive Sesame Street Land.
San Diego
Seaworld San Diego is the company’s original marine theme park that offers some really unique coasters. However, the local restrictions mean coasters cannot be very tall, but it is still one of the best places to visit if you are in San Diego.
San Antonio
Seaworld San Antonio is actually the largest Seaworld park, but it is very spread out. It also has a water park and options to swim with various animals.
Busch Gardens
Busch Gardens is an animal-centric theme park that combines zoological elements with awesome rides. It is essentially the complete opposite of the three Seaworld parks. The main difference is that Busch Gardens parks have a lot more attractions compared to Seaworld. Additionally, you will find a lot more shade and theming.
Tampa
Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay is located in the middle of the city, which is about an hour and a half drive from Orlando. The park has some of Florida’s best thrill rides. The park is heavily forested though there is a savannah area where you can spot animals. Busch Gardens Tampa is loosely themed to various parts of Africa. The Adventure Island water park is located next to the park and adjacent to the parking lot.
Williamsburg
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is very different than the Tampa park. It features a European theme rather than Tampa’s African theming. The park also has some incredible attractions and continues to expand its offerings with record-breaking coasters. Busch Gardens Williamsburg also owns the nearby Water Country USA.
Sesame Place
Sesame Place is a standalone theme park located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The park is only 14 acres but features some of the same Sesame Street rides you will find in Seaworld and Busch Gardens parks. The old San Diego Aquatica theme park is now operating as Sesame Place San Diego, but it still retains many of the water rides. The park is expected to continue undergoing changes through the next few years.
